Horace goes skiing: a slippery slope

In our third episode we finally cover a ZX Spectrum game. We took our sweet time considering we are calling our podcast “Spectrum Days”… But we finally got there and we chose a classic to cover. Actually, we chose three classics as we take on the legendary Horace Trilogy:

Horace Goes Skiing

Hungry Horace

Horace and the Spiders

We focus most of our attention on Horace as that’s the one we remember playing most. Horace goes Skiing was the Spectrum game in 1982.

In our memories at least, it was the game all Spectrum owners had and played. I personally have photographic evidence of me playing it as an eight year old. Oh, the fun I must have had.

Has it stood the test of time? Will playing it now bring back beautiful childhood memories? Or, will we wish that Horace had never made it across that motorway between the ski rental shop and the slopes.
